CHANGING LIVES
THROUGH
RURAL DEVELOPMENT
We Make Impacts Through Chapters
Chapter One
The limited access to clean water made us aware of the substandard living conditions still experienced by many Indonesian citizens. We have first-hand experience seeing the villagers walk 2 kilometers per day to access clean water. Residents of all ages, including the elderly and adolescence, spend 4 hours traversing through rocky roads on foot just to retrieve water. We are on a mission to change that!
Chapter Two
Every day, the kids must bring jerry cans filled with clean water from their homes just to meet their individual needs in school. On top of that, their school facilities are run down and overall hygiene is very poor. Seeing these problems moved the hearts of our team members and led them to initiate the second Chapter. We hope that students can focus on their school and spend more time in library
Chapter Three
Continuing on with the success of Chapters One and Two, we launch our initiative called MAKNA (/mak·na/) which means purpose. We aim to elevate the voices of the women though exhibiting and promoting their tenin heritage to the global community. Therefore, women in the villages can use 4 hours that they used previously to obtain water more productively
